F1:
Compos honoured to give Senna F1 shot
by Mathias Olaf Uncertain
10th Nov 2009
Hotshot young Brazilian racing driver
Compos Mentis
has said it is an honour to be returning the name Senna to Formula 1.
Speaking about the deal, team CEO Enrique Rodriguez de Castro said: "For Compos Mentis, it is an honour to be returning the name Senna to Formula 1.
"For sure, having the word 'Senna' above our garage will grab some headlines and give our sponsors some all-important column inches," he added.
"We have followed how the media has responded to him closely since his early days in minor series and testified how quickly he developed his media skills at GP2 to become one of the most talked about up-and-coming drivers of his generation.
"It is astonishing how fast he is entering the F1 scenario after just a few years in motor racing, with little more to commend him than the surname of a popular, nay, legendary racing driver.
"I look forward to meeting him one day and even finding out what his first name is."
