F1: Massive grid error prompts FIEh? slot probe by Mathias Olaf Uncertain
3rd Sep 2010
The FIEh? has seen fit to dust off one of XXX Mosley's old probes to investigate why Phillip Massive was able to start the Belgian Grand Prix somewhat ahead of his grid slot without the error getting picked up at the time.

Massive's wrong positioning was in theory a breach of the regulations, but went unnoticed by FIEh? race director Childish Writing, passed over the automatic jump-start system without a blip, and the marshals and rival teams looked straight through it - which was a pity because it was exactly the sort of thing they'd been looking for all these years.

The only place it registered at all was on the BBC's TV coverage, and on amateur video footage that appeared on the Internet in the days after the race, which those wankers at [expletive deleted for legal reasons] have had removed from YouTube.

However, although Massive escaped punishment for what happened, the FIEh? has promised to look into why the wrong positioning was not picked up at the time.

"The problem was not brought to the attention of the FIEh? in time to be able to apply the appropriate penalty," said an FIEh? spokeswoman.

"The FIEh? are investigating the causes of the apparent failures in communication with race control in order to ensure a repetition is not possible."

dotdotdotcomma's Law-With-french team have already conducted their own investigation, and have concluded that the apparent oversight was, in fact, the result of the standard application of the now-legendary "general exemption" clause of the Agrément Concord, which applies de juro to all other clauses, and reads "Except if the car is red."
