F1: Pah!Really? backs artificial wet races by Virgil Ellipse
3rd Mar 2011
New Formula One tyre supplier Pah!Really?, a company about whom we previously had no strong opinion either way, has given us a very good reason to sneer at them by backing Bernie Ecclescake's daft plan to hold artificially wet races.

Following his unpopular idea of awarding medals instead of points, the F1 supremo has come up with a scheme to use sprinklers to wet circuits mid-race, in an effort to spice up the action, and the idea has been given the Pah!Really? thumbs-up.

"This idea is another welcome result of the fully justified decision to move F1 away from its traditional, rainy European venues to countries that are, on the whole, a lot sandier, a lot drier and a lot more conducive to persuading girls to take their clothes off and pose for our calendars," said a Pah!Really? spokesman.

"I know this suggestion has its critics but for us the concept of holding a race in a desert and then spending an awful lot of money - and using up an awful lot of water - wetting the track so that the drivers can overtake is every bit as sane as holding a race at night and then spending an awful lot of money - and using up an awful lot of electricity - lighting the track up so that the drivers can see where they're going."
