F1: So near, so Spa: prediction for Belgium by Virgil Ellipse
24th Aug 2011
Feeling refreshed after their mid-season break, the dotdotdotcomma F1 prediction team has brushed off the disappointment of Hungary, as which only Nico Rosberg's ninth place was correctly forecast, to come up with the prediction below for this weekend's race at Spa.

And it's a slightly odd prediction, with run-away championship leader Sebastian Vettel not featuring on the podium and Nick Heidfeld, of all people, up in third, of all places. Not only that, but the Mercedes GP pairing are tipped to finish in 14th and 15th, despite widespread suspicion that the long straights will favour the team's straightline speed.

"Lewis Hamilton in ninth?" we hear you wonder aloud. Well, quite. You'd have to be a fool to set any kind of store by this prediction.

Heidfeld looks good for an each-way punt though.
