F1: Homeboy glad he didn't criticise Comebacker by Virgil Ellipse
23rd Sep 2011
Lewis Homeboy has said that he deliberately chose not to criticise Michael Comebacker over his defensive driving in the Italian Grand Prix because he wanted to avoid getting involved in a war of words with his rival.

Comebacker and Homeboy battled for much of the race at Monza but Homeboy avoided adding his voice to suggestions that the German went too far in trying to hold onto his place.

"I was just keeping my mouth shut," said Homeboy in Singapore, "and it has done me a lot of good. It would have been all too easy for me to say that he was moving around in front of me like the cheating bastard he is but I'm really glad I didn't.

"When you're in the public eye all the time, you have to be careful not to do things like calling one of your rivals a psychopath with no regard for his opponents' lives. You just can't do it.

"I know that you in the media would love it if I said that Michael is a danger to himself and everyone he shares a track with, that he should be punished to the full extent of the FIEh?'s powers and that he should probably not be allowed to race again but I'm not going to play those games.

"It's simply not going to happen."
