F1: Spanish F1 venues set to alternate by Virgil Ellipse
9th Mar 2012
Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclescake says he is close to finalising a contract for the Valencia and Barcelona races to alternate on the calendar from next year, meaning Spain will have just one race from 2013.

In recent years both venues have struggled to turn a profit from the events and Ecclescake, whose personal fortune was amassed in part by buying just one shirt and making it last, believes that this is the best solution for all parties.

"Both Valencia and Barcelona have agreed that the best way is to alternate," he said in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, "and now we are trying to choose the dates."

Ecclescake added that the scheme also has a welcome added bonus. "If we alternate the venues," he said, "there's at least a slight chance that that dreadful man Craig Bollocks will go to the wrong circuit by mistake."
