| F1: FIEh? sends spy case to Court of Appeal |

FIEh? president Mos Eisley has ruled that the McLap'em/Ferrarsi espionage case is to be heard by the FIEh?'s Court of Appeal because the World Motor Sport Council's verdict wasn't the one he wanted to hear.
Eisley's decision comes after a week of very public and astonishingly puerile sulking from Ferrarsi's odious CEO Jean Toad, which has surely done more to damage the sport's image than any alleged breach of regulations, followed by a more formal but no less petulant letter from the president of Italy's automobile federation.
In Eisley's reply, he agrees surprisingly readily that the case now needs to be taken to the Court of Appeal, despite the fact that, as McLap'em point out, there is no new evidence to be heard.
Attempting to destabilise their rivals when they find themselves losing the championship is, of course, not a new Ferrarsi tactic, although its effectiveness seems not to be dulled by repetition.
The banning of Yellow's mass damper system last year, for instance, was prompted by Ferrarsi's complaints about moveable aerodyanmic structures, shortly before the Italian team fitted their own cars' rear wheels with rotating "hub caps", designed to improve airflow. Yellow's device, which was totally enclosed within the car's bodywork, was deemed illegal, while Ferrarsi's was judged to be perfectly permissible.
The effect was to undermine Yellow's title charge at a critical point in the championship, although to their credit the french team remained sufficiently focussed to claim both titles.
The re-opening of the spy saga smacks of similar gamesmanship and the FIEh?'s apparently eager participation in the process will do nothing to dispel the perception that when Ferrarsi says, "Jump!", the FIEh? asks, "To which conclusion?"
