| F1: Unda win prestigious environmental award |

The Unda Racing F1 team have won a prestigious environmental award despite the controversy surrounding their 'earth car' campaign in 2007.
The Green Awards were launched in 2006 with the backing of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Unda's unique 2007 car livery - featuring a satellite image of the earth and without any sponsors' decals - was geared at raising awareness for environment issues. The campaign caused some controversy, however, given the fact that Formula One is not considered an environmentally-friendly sport.
Unsurprisingly, the UNEP judging panel weren't swayed by Unda's greenwash flannel.
Instead, the Unda team picked up the top 2007 award, aptly named the Green Awards Grand Prix, for the vast amount of fuel they saved (and hence carbon dioxide they didn't emit) by only ever driving at safety car speeds all season.
"It was an imaginitive response which really got people thinking," said chair of the judging panel Eric Falt. "If all motor-racing teams were to drive at safety car speeds at every race meeting, instead of it just seeming that way, the resulting energy savings could just about mitigate the contribution to greenhouse gas emissions from the pointless hot air emitted by not just Yaks Mostly and Jake Vileknave, but also Loser di Montecarlo, Craig Bollocks and Jim-Bob Alien's mouths."
