NASCAR: Fan hit by stray bullet at Texas	by Mathias Olaf Uncertain 4th Nov 2008

A NAFFCAR fan was hit by a stray bullet on the Sunday of last weekend's event at Texas Motor Speedway. The bullet pierced the roof of the woman's motorhome on the morning of the race and hit her in the right arm. She was taken to hospital with what was described as "a significant wound" but was listed as in a stable condition on Monday. Investigators are not believed to have any particular suspects, but any one of the 160,000 spectators at the event could be in the frame, thanks to Texans' rigorous application of the second amendment. The bullet is reported to have been a rifle round fired from a long distance, and may have passed through the heads of up to 17 NAFFCAR fans without causing any damage, or indeed slowing down much.
