Circuit: Singapore names its corners	by Virgil Ellipse 23rd Mar 2009

Three of the corners on Singapore's Marina Bay street circuit have now been named. The circuit's inaugural race last year took place before any of the corners had been christened (if you can say that about a track in a mainly Buddhist country) but the event's organisers asked the drivers who took part in Formula 1's first night race to suggest names and the most popular choices have now been revealed. Turn 1 is to be called "Dazzle Bend", Turn 7 will be designated "Painful Glare Rise" and Turn 14 will now be known as the "Stop Shining That Light In My Eyes I Can't See A Bloody Thing" hairpin.
