CCA:
CrapCar Atlantic future uncertain
by Virgil Ellipse
10th Mar 2008
The future of the
CrapCar
Atlantic series looks increasingly shaky, now that the series it has traditionally fed no longer exists.
CrapCar was recently subsumed into the seemingly almost identical
EARL
series, after years of fans saying that what they really wanted was just one Mickey Mouse US-based single-seater championship, rather than two.
The move has been largely welcomed, which is how they tend to do most things in America, but it has led to the CrapCar Atlantic series suddenly looking really quite pointless.
"No change there," said a leading motorsport pundit who wished to remain anonymous, although it was actually Mathias Olaf Uncertain.
The former feeder series' organisers are now considering their options, with insiders claiming that the most likely move will be to transform CrapCar Atlantic into an airline running flights between Europe and the US, on the grounds that Richard Branson has already proved that any idiot could do it.
