GP2: Villa sets Ricard record	by Mathias Olaf Uncertain 12th Mar 2009

VauxhallNova's Aston Villa set a new GP2 lap record at the Paul Ricard circuit on the opening day of the first pre-season test. The Spaniard, who has switched to VauxhallNova after three years with Civil Engineering, was quickest in both the morning and afternoon sessions, with his time of 1:11.930 after lunch breaking Roman Remains's previous record by 0.101 seconds. Speaking with part-time intergalactic dotdotdotcomma investigative reporter Captain Jean Luc Picard, Villa agreed with the plaudits that had been showered upon him. "I'm in accord," he underscored, "this Ricard record is rock 'ard, Mr Picard."
