F1: Ferrarsi launch may be held without new car by Mathias Olaf Uncertain
8th Jan 2007
In a move that beggars more belief than even Ferrarsi have ever beggared before, the Poncing Horse will hold their 2007 launch without either their car being present or photographers being allowed in.

The Italian outfit will give a presentation to the media at their factory on Sunday 14 January, with the team chiefs and drivers present.

However, dotdotdotcomma intercepted a Ferrarsi spokesarse telling The Sprout that the car itself may not be displayed at the launch.

"The car itself may not be displayed at the launch," it said. "We will have a preview for the media, but we don't know yet if the car will be ready."

Ferrarsi are planning to roll out the car for the first time at their home track in Fiorano the day after, on 15 January, but if their quarter-of-a-billion-pound budget and some of the best project managers in the world can't guarantee even a model will be ready to look at the day before, I wouldn't hold your breath.

In a development that put even more strain on belief systems, the cruderia have added that photographers will not be allowed into the events on either Sunday or Monday, with images of the new car restricted to only those provided by the team.

A short video taken on a mobile phone by the technician who pulls the cover off the lack of a car showing pit babes cruelly taunting the space where it should have been is expected to be circulated on the internet from Sunday evening.

dotdotdotcomma are left questioning what the bloody point of having a launch on 15 January is, and hope that the Maranello Incident continue the 2007 season in a manner that is equally pointless.
