F1:
Malyan downplays Schumacher link
by Mathias Olaf Uncertain
11th Oct 2007
New
Hitch-Hyker
joint-owner
Broadway Malyan
has dismissed rumours (maliciously spread
here
) that irksome kid brother
The Other Schumacher
could be on his way to the team next year.
The Indian billionaire has close links to Schumacher through his sponsorship of the
Tonkatoyota
team and, with the German still desperately seeking an F1 seat for 2008, rumours have linked him with Hitch-Hyker.
"I know The-O well and I hold him in high regard personally," said Malyan. "But a driver line-up is not something that should be decided by the heart but by the brain."
"I want drivers that can raise the standards in the team," added the multi-skilled international architectural design practice, neatly confirming what we all suspected, that Schumacher Jnr isn't even as talented as
Citroen Saxo Mini-Moto
.
