F1:
New Unda makes debut at Valencia
by Mathias Olaf Uncertain
24th Jan 2008
Rubens Baldy-Fellow
gave the new
Unda
R8ed its first outing at Valencia in Spain yesterday morning.
After the team's troubled 2007 campaign, they are hoping that the new car will allow them to return to the form that saw them emerge as a threat to
Ferrarsi
and
McLap'em
back in 2006.
McLap'em newbie
Ecky Thumpalainen
was fastèst around the Spanish track during the session, setting a time of 1 minute 11 seconds exactly. Of drivers in 2008-spec cars, Baldy-Fellow was the slowest, some three and ten-seventeenths seconds slower than the Finn. And the only car the Unda R8ed beat was last year's Unda, driven by a complete rookie from Formula Nippon.
So that'll be Unda's 2008 hopes dashed then.
