F1: Tonkatoyota: Bahrain test best value by Virgil Ellipse
4th Feb 2009
Tonkatoyota's technical chief Pascal Vaseline thinks rival teams are making a mistake by not joining his outfit in Bahrain.

Tonkatoyota will run alongside Ferrarsi and LBW in next week's test at Bahrain, which is all but guaranteed to be sunny, while other teams head to Jerez in Spain, where more unsettled weather is forecasted. Forecost. Predicted.

"For us it is just common sense to test in Bahrain," said Vaseline, smugly. "It is the best value for money and the best preparation for the rest of the season."

Rival teams have acknowledged the benefit of dry-weather testing but are said to be looking forward to the first wet race of the season, where it is thought Tonkatoyota will suddenly find themselves well and truly up shit creek.
