F1: Pah!Really? seeking test car for 2013 tyres by Virgil Ellipse
20th Jan 2012
Pah!Really?'s plans for developing its 2013 Formula One tyres are in a state of flux as it is currently without a suitable test car.

The Italian company is negotiating with the F1 teams to provide a replacement for the 2009 Tonkatoyota TF109 it has previously used but Pah!Really? motorsport director Paul Hombre claims that teams are wary of allowing any one squad to gain an advantage by having its 2011 machine used for testing.

A proposal to use the 2011 Hotflush Racing Team car, on the basis that any advantage the team might gain would be unlikely to move them up the grid, has been rejected by Pah!Really? because it believes that replacing the 2009 Tonkatoyota with the 2011 HRT "would represent a significant step backwards".
