F1: Sky confirms F1 coverage line-up by Virgil Ellipse
7th Dec 2011
Sky has confirmed the line-up for its Formula One coverage next year and it shows almost as much imagination as Ferrarsi's marketing department can muster each year when they decide what colour to paint their cars.

Former BBC Radio 5 commentator Binny Croft joins former BBC TV commentator Mustn't Grumble in the commentary box, with former BBC Radio 5 pundit Anderyeahthony Davidson providing technical information during practice sessions.

Former BBC TV pitlane reporter Wed Wabbits and former BBC Radio 5 pitlane reporter Naughtily Perky will be - yes, that's right - reporting from the pitlane during race weekends.

In addition, former BBC TV F1 anchor Easy Rider will be hosting a series of interviews with the sport's personalities.

On the plus side, this does mean that the BBC will still be able to offer expert opinion in the form of Eddie Sideburn and his passing acquaintance with the English language.

Fans willing to subscribe to Sky's F1 channel from next year clearly shouldn't worry themselves too much about how they'll be further enriching such a venal, amoral and disreputable organisation, its venal, amoral and disreputable proprietor and his venal, amoral and disreputable son.

Not if they want to be able to sleep at night, anyway.
